Startup Sauna Warmup Program in Yekaterinburg

Aim of the Contest: Promote the development of the innovative activity in the region, by attracting entrepreneurs, young scientists, experts and investors.

Objectives of the contest: 1. Encourage the formation of the favorable business environment and realization of the region’s business potential. 2. Conduct the event using the world experience and best foreign technologies. 3. Promote the establishment of business contacts and creation of the maximum opportunities for the participants’ communication.

Participants: -Projects at the following stages: pre-seed, seed, prototype, working prototype, alpha, private beta. -Domestic and foreign experts. -Business-angels and investors. -Development institutions.

Format of the contest: The contest is made up of the presentations of startups in the format of Elevator Pitch, “Invest- carousel”, Reverse Pitch and Success Story. The projects that pass the expertise will be presented to the investors. All the participants will have the opportunity to discuss their project and receive a professional judgment from experts, investors and the audience. All the participants will receive opinions of their presentation and the changes it needs. Many participants will be able to find mentors for their project. The best startups will receive funding. The event expects to host over 30 startups. Working language English.

09:30 – 10:00 Registration, morning coffee break.

10:00 – 10:15 Greeting: Greeting from the host party: Valentina Slavin, President of non-profit partnership Baur (The Urals Business Angels Association). Opening statement, introduction in Start-up Sauna, acquaintance with experts/coaches. Speaker: Ville Simola, Captain of Startup Sauna Warmup.

10:15 – 11:30 Workshop “What is necessary for high quality start-up”. Speaker: Juha Ruohonen, Head coach of Startup Sauna Warmup. Technopark Multiplier -first technopark in Ural with guaranteed investment. Speaker: Dmitry Morozov - Regional Director of non-profit partnership Baur ( The Urals Business Angels Association) in Chelyabinsk region.

11:30 – 12:00 Coffee break.

12:00 – 13:30 Presentation of projects in «Elevator Pitch» format in English. Feedback from experts.

13:30 – 14:30 Lunch break.

14:30 – 15:00 Reverse Pitch – investors and experts tell about their own experience. (All participants expressing a desire, the list will be approved in advance).

15:00 – 17:30 Time with the coaches.

17:30 – 17:50 Success Story of the entrepreneur. Speaker: Moaffak Ahmed, Partner of Veturi Growth Accelerator.

17:50 – 18:00 Summary and announcing the winner (-s).

18:00 – 20:00 Networking/Coffee break (stand-up meal).
